About the Role
We are recruiting a qualified CCAB Accountant to manage the completion of the County Council’s statutory financial statements. The post will also manage the fixed asset register and provide technical accounting and taxation advice to the Council. It will involve working closely with strategic finance professionals and the external auditor, and will maximise the benefit of the Oracle Fusion system and the associated reporting tools.
About You
To apply for this post, you must be CCAB qualified and hold membership of the relevant body. In addition you must also have experience of:
- Resolving financial problems, particularly efficiency, with sound workable solutions
- Developing effective working relationships with senior and operational managers within service departments and other finance professionals
- Communicating technical financial information to non-finance specialists in an easily understandable way, both in written form and face to face
- Identifying and supporting the implementation of improvements in a finance function
- The different areas of finance
- Demonstrating a flexible approach and a persistence and resourcefulness to get things done
- Demonstrating an appropriate level of influence and persuasion and able to argue own case.
You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
