Finance Manager - Childrens and Families

We are currently supporting a large council with the recruitment of  a dynamic, results-driven Finance Manager on a 6-month interim basis within their Children's services team. This role will lead, manage, and advise on critical financial operations of the service. 

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage staff, providing coaching, performance management, and support

Drive budget monitoring, setting, and account-closing activities

Deliver high-level financial analysis and complex decision-making support

Supervise and advise on financial reporting using Excel and Oracle

Play a vital role in options appraisals, savings calculations, and financial forecasting

You’ll bring:

Line management skills and proven leadership in a similar role and service within a council 

CIPFA or equivalent qualification with exceptional technical expertise

This role will offer hybrid working with a requirement on site a couple of times per month.
