Job Details
Do you want to be part of making London the best city in the world?
The Greater London Authority (GLA) is the centre of government for London, serving both the Mayor and the London Assembly. The Mayor of London sets the budget and is responsible for making London a better place for everyone and the Assembly holds the Mayor and Mayoral advisers to account. The GLA itself plays a key role in delivering projects across Greater London over areas including Housing, Transport, Environment, Culture, Economy and Regeneration. We are currently recruiting for several roles in the expanding finance team, so they are better placed to support the delivery of the amazing work the GLA does. With all the roles you will be able to have a major impact across London and the people who live, work and travel there. The Finance Business Partner will support directorate leaders to ensure the achievement of strategic objectives through the provision of high-quality strategic finance advice, direction, insight and support. This includes multi-year horizon scanning, understanding of the position of the GLA as a whole, funding streams, and making appropriate connections between separate issues. They will be expected to influence and challenge strategic decisions and offer innovative financial solutions. To be suitable for the role you need to be a fully qualified accountant with significant experience of providing financial advice and support in a large complex organisation. The ability to challenge and influence, as well as providing innovative solutions is essential. GLA offers a hybrid working environment. To find out more about the role, the GLA and why you should work there, please click here Home | GLA . If you have any questions, please contact Will Ryan at Ivy Rock Partners on 07909030965 or willryan@ivyrockpartners.com Application is via CV and supporting statement. The supporting statement should be no more than 2 pages and should cover why you are interested in the role and use the STAR method to highlight your relevant experience. The closing date is Monday 17th February.
