Like every local authority Reigate & Banstead is finding it increasingly challenging to balance the budget as costs rise and resources are under pressure, however the Council is starting from a sound financial base with buoyant earmarked reserves and no long-term debt.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Finance Team!

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and self-motivated individual to maintain our  finance systems. You’ll have the opportunity to enhance your skills and will be well supported in your role.  A comprehensive handover will be given for this vitally important role.

Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, the post holder will be responsible for supporting the implementation, management, security, development, and performance of the Council’s core financial system Unit 4 (BWO) and any related systems.

The post holder will work closely with the Finance Team to ensure that high quality finance information is available to stakeholders.

You’ll help enforce good governance and controls over all finance systems.

About the Person:

  • Experienced in working with Unit 4 (BWO)
  • Experience in working with systems that interface with the core finance system.
  • Supportive, flexible and a positive attitude. A team player, working collaboratively across the council.
  • Brings a meticulous approach and can work to deadlines.
  • Excellent self -organisational skills.
  • A qualified Accountant (CCAB/CIMA).
