Torfaen County Borough Council’s Financial Services Team is recruiting for a new Lead Finance Officer. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to take the next steps in their career development to join a high-performing, motivated and supportive organisation. As part of the team which delivers the corporate accounting activities of the Council, you’ll take a lead role in producing the annual Statement of Accounts, overseeing the development and monitoring of the Council’s capital programme, providing advice and guidance on accounting for the Council’s assets, VAT and treasury activities, and maintaining / monitoring the Council’s balance sheet. For the right candidate, we will be flexible in terms of office attendance, working pattern and working hours. Ideally, the successful candidate would be able to commit to working 37 hours per week, however part-time hours would be considered. Other benefits include:
