You will work with an outstanding leadership team and will join a highly committed and innovative team who are dedicated to building on their performance. Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make-up.
Your new role
There are 4 positions on offer at Financial Analyst level, which are essentially business partnering roles responsible for managing substantial budgets and providing support to senior managers. The 4 posts are in the following areas;
*Capital Programme – Public Realm, Regeneration, Corporate Landlord, Schools – you will specifically work on budgets associated with park maintenance, highways and regeneration programmes.
*Adult Social Care - Community, Health and Wellbeing – Partnering with Adult Social Care, the role will involve liaising with multiple stakeholders, across large and varied budgets.
*Partnerships, Housing & Resident Services – You will be the finance business partner supporting the Communications Insight Innovation and Resident Services department. This will primarily involve budget management, financial management, and providing support to senior managers.
*HRA – You will focus on preparing the HRA annual statement accounts, contributing to the HRA business plan, and supporting the preparation of HRA budgets
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a part-qualified accountant/AAT and have ideally worked in local government or have a keen interest in doing so. Applications from candidates who have worked in another public service area or commerce would be welcome if you are able to demonstrate an understanding of the challenges and issues facing the sector.
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work well in a large complex environment and be able to work effectively with stakeholders.
