Interim Programme Accountant - Safety Valve Funding

Ambient People is working with a local authority to recruit an interim Programme Accountant to support their Safety Valve funding programme. This role is key to ensure that there is a finance oversight and that the financial benefits of this high profile programme for the council are delivered.

This role would suit a CCAB qualified or equivalent Accountant, who also has a good understanding of programme management methodologies. There are large data sets involved and your excellent analytical skills will be required to ensure that accurate conclusions and reports are made from those. You will have to use your strong communication and influencing skills to engage constructively with the service and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

Experience and knowledge of SEND or Safety Valve would be helpful but isn’t essential, although experience and understanding of a local government environment is required.
