About Us:
Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has some exciting opportunities for you to join our newly created Accounts Payable team as we bring the service back in- house from an outsourced provider and move towards implementing a new ERP Oracle Fusion system.
At the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, we put local people and businesses at the heart of everything we do, working in partnership with them to provide quality services that are responsive, effective and efficient. Committed to acting with openness, honesty, compassion and humility, we aim to listen and understand in a way that is respectful, encourages involvement and meets the needs of all our communities.
The Role:
Are you detail-oriented, enthusiastic and enjoy a fast-paced environment? This is an exciting and rare opportunity for you to join us at the very start of our journey as we onboard a new ERP system (Oracle Fusion). As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth financial operations.
Your main responsibility will be processing timely and accurate payments to our suppliers, along with building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will manage all aspects of the purchase-to-pay process and ensure invoices are processed and paid correctly and on time. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and support.
This is a hybrid role where you will be working 3 days per week on-site at our offices.
Please refer to the Job Description for more information.
About You:
You should have experience in a similar role gained ideally in a Council setting although wider public/private sector experience will be considered. You must be able to work with a high volume of invoices efficiently, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail and have excellent communication and teamwork skills. You should have experience in using Oracle Fusion or an equivalent ERP system and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.
Please apply online explaining how you meet the requirements set out in the person specification and job description. We reserve the right to extend or close this vacancy early without warning subject to the volume of suitable applicants.
Application process
Please do not upload any documents, including CVs/Covering Letters or supporting statements, as these documents will not be reviewed and could result in your application not being shortlisted.
