Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Planning: Develop financial strategies that align with corporate goals and service delivery plans.
Medium-Term Financial Planning: Lead the coordination of our Medium-Term Financial Plan, Revenue Budget, and Capital Programme—reporting directly to Executive, Scrutiny, and Cabinet.
Capital Strategy & Treasury Management: Oversee capital budgets, funding, and borrowing strategies while driving the development of our Treasury Strategy.
Final Accounts Management: Ensure the smooth and timely production of the Council’s final accounts.
Budget Oversight: Provide financial management and budgetary support to Directors, ensuring robust financial governance.
Audit Leadership: Manage internal audit processes and be the key point of contact for external auditors.
Change & Development Projects: Offer financial expertise to support major organizational change, efficiency programmes, and capital development projects.
