Finance Business Partner

Allen Lane are delighted to be assisting a London-based Council with the recruitment of an Interim Finance Business Partner for their corporate service functions. This 4 – 6 month interim role will offer hybrid working with 2/3 day per site in London and be responsible for providing budgetary support and guidance across several council corporate functions. Key duties will include but by no means be limited to:

• Budget monitoring and forecasting
• Budget setting and financial planning
• Preparation of monthly management reports highlighting any variances
• Providing support to Budget holders including advice and guidance
• Providing data analysis and options appraisal to enable financially sound and informed decision making.
• Supporting with year-end processes
• Management of a small team of Finance Business partners

The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified Accountant who has significant experience in finance business partnering in a Local Authority environment. Experience of Corporate finance within a Council environment is essential.
