A significant career opportunity has arisen within the Finance & Procurement Service for a qualified accountant to lead our Service Accountancy team and join us to be part of Team Ceredigion in West Wales.

You must be highly motivated and capable of taking a leading role in managing the Council’s financial affairs. You should be capable of being a Ceredigion Corporate Manager, which will require you to adopt a wider leadership role, taking a holistic corporate approach and allowing you to exert your influence on how the Council operates.

You will be directly responsible for a wide range of financial matters including Budgeting, Financial Monitoring, Accounts Closure for Services, Providing Financial advice and the Financial Management of Grant funded schemes. You will be the main point of contact for Council Services for key financial input and advice and you will also act where the Council is the Lead Accountable body for regional functions.

You will also support the Corporate Lead Officer: Finance & Procurement, acting as Deputy Section 151 officer alongside the Corporate Manager: Corporate Finance and be an essential part of the Service’s management team.

The successful candidate may be eligible to up to a maximum of £8,000 (including VAT) towards the cost of expenses incurred due of relocating to Ceredigion. The relocation scheme is only available to those with a legal right to work in the UK.
