Your role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a key part of Wigan’s award winning and innovative finance team. You will be responsible for the provision of strategic financial advice and support to our Adult Social Care and Health Directorate, working in partnership with the service to enable the delivery of transformation plans that support the budget strategy and ensure the effective use of resources.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, you will manage and lead the adult social care part of the Council’s finance function, ensuring a strong relationship model of financial support.
About you:
You will be an experienced finance professional with a strong knowledge of local government and adult social care finance able to support the delivery of key transformation and efficiencies.
You will have a proven ability to build trusting relationships with key stakeholders at all levels and possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
The successful candidate will also be a highly motivated team player with a strong alignment to our TeamWigan values and behaviours be positive, accountable, courageous and kind.
You must hold a full accountancy qualification and be able to evidence full CCAB membership.
