Senior Finance Business Partner

This is as incredibly unique Capital Finance Business Partner opportunity at a fantastically well run, successful local authority in London with an ambitious vision to ensure consistent delivery of a high-quality, value-added service with excellent financial controls. They are on an exciting journey of continuous improvement, change, challenge, and innovation.

The role reports to a Head of Finance and are integral to supporting the Finance Business Partner model. Their focus will be providing strategic insight across the Council working closely with the senior management teams and other stakeholders to aid decision making. Some of the key responsibilities will include;

Developing and maintaining strong, trusted relationships both across the Council and with external partners Adding value by providing exceptional financial support and challenge to decision makers Supporting the development and implementation of business proposals to support the delivery of the key aims of the Council Monitoring development in national policy and legislation to assess and advise on the financial impacts, risks, and opportunities You must be a qualified accountant with exceptional communications skills and the ability to influence and build trusted relationships with stakeholders. Proven experience of acting as a business partner within a large complex organisation is essential, as is the ability to explain complex financial information in a concise and easy to understand manner. Knowledge or experience within local government is highly desirable.
