Strategic Finance Business Partner

Allen Lane are delighted to be assisting a London Borough with the recruitment of an interim Strategic Finance Business Partner. This interim assignment will report to the Head of Finance for Financial planning and finance business partnering and will manage a small finance team.

Key Duties will include:

• Working closely with colleagues across finance and strategy to align capital strategies
• Financial modelling and project appraisal including assessment of capital finance options
• Acting as the go-to person to provide advice around the prudential framework and local authority capital programme financing and reporting requirements
• Working closely to advice Budget holders on capital budget management and providing guidance and challenge where necessary
• Leading on the technical capital close down making sure that all capital transactions have been recorded appropriately

The ideal person for this role will be a qualified accountant with significant experience operating in a management post in a capital role at a local authority.

This role will be for 4 – 6 months and will require 2 days on-site in London.
