This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of consequential organisation supporting the Finance Business Partner team in the provision of excellent financial advice and support to the Force. This includes assisting Directorates in all areas such as budgeting, financial control, closing of accounts, maintenance of accounting systems, cash handling, the administration of third party funds, and financial advice to services
You will play an essential role in strengthening the quality and flow of information between the Finance team and service area and provides a great opportunity for development within finance business partnering.
As well as a strong grounding in financial services, candidates will have an ethos of continuous improvement to support ongoing development of the service, the team and the Force.
To be successful in this role you will hold or be studying towards AAT or have another relevant and equivalent accounting qualification. It is advantageous to have public sector experience however this isn’t essential and candidates from outside the sector will be considered.
It is essential that you have excellent communication and analytical skills with a proven track record of applying accounting principles and work in accordance with relevant rules and procedures and have experience of preparing budgets and budget monitoring reports.
