About the Role:

If you are an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and experienced Housing Rent account manager interested in being part of our Housing Portfolio team we would love to hear from you. As the Housing Finance Lead at Maidstone Borough Council, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the rent setting standard and strategy across our housing portfolio.

Our primary aim by establishing this new Housing Finance role is to increase focus on our rent account management across our various tenures of housing including social and affordable homes, privately rented and temporary accommodation managed both within the Councils General Fund and, when reopened, our Housing Revenue Account.

By taking responsibility for the close management of resident data in the housing management systems you will provide confidence at the highest level of the organisation that housing rent accounts are being effectively managed and that correct processes and procedures are in place.

This is a full-time position on a permanent contract.

About You:

As the successful applicant you will be member of the Chartered Institute of Housing or a financial body and have extensive experience and knowledge of best practice in management of rent and income collection across all resident accounts.

You will have led a team in a similar role and have a thorough practical working knowledge of the range of rights and obligations under tenancy agreements and licences.

The audit service was one of the first partnerships that was established and has worked effectively across all four boroughs for over three years.
