Interim Head of Finance - Children's/Adults

I am currently working with a Local Authority who are going through a period of change and due to internal moves, they are currently looking to recruit 2 Interim Head’s of Finance ideally with Children’s and/or Adult Social care experience.

You will be responsible for providing high quality finance support services to the relevant Director of the service contributing to effective financial management within the relevant service.

Reporting into and working closely with the Assistant Director of Finance you will oversee financial management and strategic financial planning for the directorate.

In addition, you will have what it takes to forge strong and impactful relationships, with colleagues, customers and stakeholder’s alike, while ensuring that Senior Management and their budget managers are supported to deliver accountability for budget management and that directorates comply with Financial Standing Orders and all other financial policies and procedures as directed by the Director of Corporate Finance.

You will be a CCAB qualified accountant with significant exposure Children’s and or Adult Social Care with a solid understanding of the legal, financial and political context of management within a Local Authority.

This role will be Hybrid working with an expectation of 1 day a week on site with some flexibility subject to business needs

There is also the option of a 4 day week or 9 day fortnight
