Salary up to £95,033 inclusive of allowances but is open to negotiation for exceptional candidates
With more than 47,000 officers and staff and a revenue budget of circa £4.4bn the Met is the UK’s largest police service.
The Met polices 620 square miles and serves more than eight million people across one of the world’s most dynamic and diverse cities.
London doesn’t stand still, and neither do we; the challenges and opportunities facing us are always changing. The capital’s population is growing and set to be almost 10 million within a decade. Advances in technology are changing social behaviour. The demand we face is increasing and crime is rising. This, coupled with the current level of funding, requires us to prioritise resources intelligently and maintain a keen focus on improving efficiency and productivity.
A New Met for London is the two year plan on how the Met will deliver more trust, less crime, and high standards. This plan is the product of more than 10,000 interactions with Londoners, our people, and partners from across the city. It represents what they’ve told us they want us to focus on. We’ve already made considerable progress in the last ten months, but there’s much more to do.
