The capital finance team provide financial support and advice to project managers across the council who are focused on delivering major investment through our biggest ever capital programme. Our ambitious plans include projects to enhance parts of our strategic infrastructure, such as extending the Portishead Rail line, building a Bypass around Banwell, replacing the Winterstoke Road Bridge and also improving the A38 Major Road Network. We are also working with partners to improve our heritage assets by restoring Birnbeck Pier and reinstating the lifeboat station, as well as many other projects aimed at improving the more traditional facilities that are used every day by our communities such as schools, libraries, sports centres and roads.
