Finance Manager - MTFS Development

Ambient People is working with a local authority to recruit an interim Finance Manager to lead on the review and redevelopment of their MTFS and capital strategy, via an outcome based approach, to help them achieve a sustainable balanced budget.

Having worked on similar large-scale MTFS transformations previously in the public sector, you will be bringing your experience of producing and report writing of MTFS documents across revenue and capital. Key duties will include;

• Development of the core assumptions model underpinning the MTFS Creating a cost benefit analysis model to inform prioritising and decision making are aligned to the council’s corporate plan Developing a benchmarking model producing analysis of information from across London Supporting the development of the refreshed capital strategy and handbook

You will need to be an excellent communicator, able to build relationships across finance and wider council, managing potentially conflicting views. Advanced Excel modelling skills will be essential to build and develop the models required. A natural problem solver, from your research, you will be able to identify best practice that can be adopted and find new solutions.
