Finance Business Partner - Childrens

Allen lane are delighted to be assisting a London-based Council with the recruitment of an interim Finance Business Partner on a 6-month interim basis. This role will play a key part in the management of effective recording of budgets and reporting. Key duties include:

• Producing and maintaining accurate financial records for a specific budget portfolio in the childrens and education directorate  
• Prepare monthly financial forecasts
• Ensuring that budgets and actuals are properly, accurately, and promptly recorded and reported
• Undertake reconciliations of budget areas to ensure that budgets are accurate
• Produce, review, and analyse financial information to support directorate decision-making
• Maintaining forecast models to support monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
• Posting accruals, prepayments, and journal transfers as directed

The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified Accountant who has previous experience in a Finance Business Partnering role in a Local Authority. Experience of childrens or education services is highly desirable. This role will mostly be remote with an expectation of 1 day per week on site at the London Offices.
