Interim Deputy Director of Finance

Ambient People is working with a local authority to recruit an interim Deputy Director of Finance (dep s151). The council is on a challenging, well scrutinised journey and needs strong leadership of their service finance function to ensure progress of their improvement plan continues to be made.  

Key to this role will be your ability to build relationships with the senior leadership across council services, ensuring they are supported to address the large scale changes required to help with their financial challenges. Those communication skills will also be needed to lead your team of finance colleagues and keep them motivated.

You will be a CCAB qualified Accountant with demonstrable experience in senior leadership roles within a local authority or similar organisation. In return, this role gives an opportunity to really drive change and make an impact to the council and its residents.
