Your new role
The key focus of this role is managing the Council’s Treasury Management function, including the strategic modelling of the Council’s cash flow, strategic reporting requirements and managing the Council’s investment and borrowing activities. The role requires you to manage a small team alongside staff at all levels of finance who support the activities within the function. Keeping up to date with changes in legislation relating to capital accounting and Treasury Management will be essential as you prepare key areas of the financial statements.
Systems: Oracle and excel.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant with a good understanding of Treasury Management with experience in local government. You will have a strong technical understanding of Capital and Treasury accounting requirements and be comfortable explaining these areas and presenting to members and other key stakeholders.
