Supporting the Director of Finance in the provision of financial support to the Integrated Social Care & Health Department and working collaboratively with the senior leadership team, elected members and key stakeholders in promoting a culture of collaboration, the successful candidate will play a key role in progressing the council’s ambitious plans. The role will be instrumental in taking forward the St Helens response to the social care reforms and the financial leadership thereof, and support market engagement to assure sustainability of the care sector via the Fair Cost of Care proposals.

A CCAB qualification and experience of financial modelling is essential in providing you with the necessary skills to fulfil the roles, which will be varied and afford the opportunity for you to demonstrate your many qualities, which will include planning and organising workloads and your ability to provide high quality advice to members and officers alike.
