Who we are

London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) is the organisation that the Mayor of London has set up to drive the regeneration of the area of east London around Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

This means that we do many different things, from building new homes, schools, universities, cultural institutions and business premises; to managing a beautiful Park and fantastic sporting venues; to running community events and sports programmers.

The London Legacy Development Corporation is also entering an exciting period with the construction of the East Bank project – a new powerhouse of culture, education, innovation and growth – which will create sites at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for Sadler’s Wells, BBC Music and the V&A as well as UAL's London College of Fashion and University College London.

The Opportunity

This is a key role within the LLDC Finance Team and is responsible for leading financial control across the organisation, which includes managing finance systems, processes and controls, as well as LLDC’s creditors, debtors and cash positions. This role is also responsible for preparing LLDC’s corporate monthly management accounts and other timely financial information, providing advice and guidance to the finance team and the business and maintaining and developing robust finance processes. This is an excellent opportunity to gain diverse experience in a high-performing finance function.

The Finance Team is part of the wider Finance, Commercial and Corporate Services directorate at LLDC, which plays a crucial role in supporting the organisation to deliver its goals. It does this by providing strong, robust governance and the infrastructure necessary to support the organisation's other teams, through provision of IT, accounting and finance, commercial advice, programme and performance management, Freedom of Information procedures and much more.

Is it for you?

We are looking for someone with excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present and explain complex information clearly to non-finance staff/stakeholders, and with a high level of attention to detail. At LLDC, we pride ourselves on delivering effective business support, so are looking for someone who enjoys interacting and working with people.

LLDC provides a positive and supportive work environment in which you will need to be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with the ability to provide positive challenge, and to bring forward and address issues swiftly and effectively.

This role requires the postholder to have strong analytical, numeric and critical reasoning skills and someone with the ability to build effective teams and relationships and support others in developing and achieving their personal, professional and organisational goals.
