Do you have a keen interest in system design?
We have an exciting opportunity to deliver change in the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes at the GLA, as part of our newly reformed finance team. You would work with directorate and finance colleagues to deliver a step change in practice across the organisation.
You must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships as well as have an instinct for system and process design, as we embark on a period of change, implementing a new system to improve control and auditability of our budget. This means being able to influence and challenge decisions and really understand the impact of changes whilst delivering strong analytical understanding of the outputs. You will play a crucial role in delivering the budget for the organisation and maintaining it into the future.
Being able to communicate technical and complex financial information clearly and concisely is essential.
There isn’t an ideal candidate…..we are looking for suitably qualified (CCAB or equivalent) individuals who can be themselves, be innovative, engage with our stakeholders to show them what great Financial Management looks like.
This role will be based at London Fire Brigade’s Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL). GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
