CIPFA-Penna are working in partnership with a large local authority in the Midlands region in the search for an Interim Finance Business Partner to support a number of high-profile projects (capital & revenue) across all directorates of the council.

Working closely with Transformation Team, senior managers and external advisers, the post-holder will be the key financial and commercial guide on multiple projects designed to improve the deliverability of several key strategies. The successful candidate will deliver robust challenge and project appraisal, and insightful business-partnering support after launch.

We are looking for a qualified accountant with notable experience of providing high-quality financial and commercial support to multiple projects, preferably in another local authority organisation. The suitable candidate will be a CIPFA-qualified accountant (or equivalent) with strong related technical skills (i.e. financial modelling, project costing, development of business cases, appraisal methods, etc.) coupled with good commercial and business-partnering abilities.
