Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS FT is a successful and person-centred organisation rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC and delivering a broad range of community services across a significant and diverse geography. With a cohesive, stable, and supportive Unitary Board, we are well-led, with our vision, mission, culture and values embedded across the organisation. We are committed to working together with our colleagues, partners, and communities to improve the wellbeing of our populations and reduce health inequalities across Derby and Derbyshire. We are seeking to further integrate health and care services at a place level, and working with partners in Local Authorities, General Practice, Mental Health and Acute services, across both the statutory and non-statutory sectors. As part of this, we are a key member of the ‘Joined Up Care Derbyshire’ Integrated Care System.
We have an opportunity for an ambitious, outcomes-focused, and inclusive Chief Financial Officer to join our Trust Board. We are seeking a strategic leader who will ensure that finance is an enabler of transformation for the services we provide as a Trust and increasingly for services that we provide in collaboration with our partners. The Chief Financial Officer will play an active and strategic role in our system; seeking opportunities for new mechanisms that allow us to integrate services sustainably through effective risk sharing arrangements. They will actively seek opportunities to create efficiencies in our delivery models which will allow us to invest and innovate within our front line services. Supporting the development of a culture of collaboration; this role will be central to our engagement with colleagues, partners and communities and offers the opportunity to create the conditions for real improvement in the health and wellbeing of our populations.
To succeed in this role, you will bring experience in strategic financial leadership likely to be gained in organisations operating at the interface of health and care services either in a healthcare and/or local authority environment. We welcome interest from aspiring as well as experienced Board Directors. With a flair for creating opportunities to transform services through new and sustainable financial models, you will be a supportive and inclusive leader who will create a culture of empowerment, thrive in a complex stakeholder environment and quickly build credibility and trust at all levels. This is a complex role with the opportunity to build on solid foundations and lead a committed, compassionate and capable team who support the delivery of safe, complex, high quality healthcare services every day.
