This is an exciting and unusual opportunity to join Moorfields Private West End team as their Head of Finance. The post reports to the Clinic Manager and is the perfect opportunity for an experienced, driven and meticulous individual looking for an autonomous, rewarding and all-round role with the chance to make a real impact at this separate commercial arm of a well-known hospital.
This key role will oversee the day-to-day financial management and control of the centre, as well as providing management information on a broad range of issues and supporting development of the strategic plan for the subsidiary. Working closely with stakeholders, you will ensure that robust processes and controls exist to improve efficiency, manage financial risk, provide accurate and timely reporting, and drive the development of improved systems and processes to drive the business forward. It also holds responsibility for safeguarding the company’s financial assets and the delivery of statutory and regulatory compliance.
The appropriate candidate should be fully qualified or a passed finalist within a CCAB body, or equivalent, with an extensive background within management accounting, budgetary control and forecasting. All round financial awareness, demonstrated by experience of financial control and managing the finances of a small to medium sized business, perhaps within a larger group, would be helpful. First rate communication and interpersonal skills are vital here due to the diverse nature of the role. Exposure to Sage accounting would also be a benefit. Owing to the autonomous nature of the role a proactive approach to solving and anticipating problems is key along with can-do, team orientated attitude.
This post represents an excellent opportunity for someone to take ownership of their work and have a direct impact on the success of a vital, new Moorfields subsidiary. Someone with a strong accounting background and the desire to lead a small finance function to success will suit this role well.
