Would you like to play an important role by contributing towards maintaining the highest standards of governance for the Local Government Boundary Commission for England?
We are a small independent body accountable to parliamentary body responsible for recommending fair electoral and boundary arrangements for local authorities in England, making recommendations and consulting on number of Councillors and voters in wards. We work directly to the Speaker of the House of Commons and our Board consists of a Chair and five Commissioners.
We are now seeking an individual with the expertise and independent perspective to support our Commissioners. The Audit & Risk Committee provides independent assurance on the adequacy of the Commission’s risk and control environment. It also oversees the financial reporting process.
To join us, you will need to hold (or have held) a significant position within the private, public or voluntary sectors. You are required to be a member of a CCAB Accountancy body. Knowledge, understanding and skills relating to Audit, Risk and governance is also desirable.
