This role presents a career defining opportunity for a qualified accountant to play a key role embedding a culture of financial discipline across the General Dental Council (GDC).

As Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager you will lead on the preparation of the 3-5 year financial plan and your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing accurate and timely reporting and analysis that drives organisational performance
  • Supporting the organisation-wide cost efficiency programme that will help the GDC reduce its costs in line with expectations
  • Ensuring that financial performance analysis and reporting are aligned with GDC stakeholders’ requirements and enhance business performance
  • Leading on the financial aspects of projects to improve GDC systems and processes
  • Acting as a business partner to the Project Management Office to develop insightful financial reporting

About you

To be considered for this role you will need to be a CCAB qualified accountant.

Experience of developing and implementing cost efficiency programmes is essential. You will also require the confidence and communication skills to build constructive relationships with budget-holders and senior management. The ability to develop new ideas and projects for improving process efficiency and effectiveness is equally important.
