Are you an articulate, experienced finance professional who is credible with local authority colleagues and elected officials?  Would you relish the opportunity of being involved in treasury management and investments for the Pension Fund, City’s Cash (an endowment) and Bridge House Estates (a charity) at the City of London Corporation?

Are you passionate about combining the highest levels of customer service whilst also delivering on challenging output based performance targets? Would you like to work for a fascinating organisation, combining ancient traditions and historic functions with its role as a modern local authority at the centre of the Capital, serving the ‘Square Mile’ and providing services that have local, regional, and sometimes national significance? 

If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen within the Corporate Treasury team of the Chamberlain’s (Finance) Department.

You will provide a pro-active technical accounting service for all treasury & pension matters and investment matters for City’s Cash and Bridge House Estates. You will work with our fund managers and the London Collective Investment Vehicle (LCIV) in meeting our ambitious Climate Action Strategy targets that sustains and enhances the financial strength of the City Corporation through the effective and efficient management of its resources. 

You will be qualified accountant (preferably CIPFA), with a sound knowledge of the key issues facing local government pension scheme (LGPS), treasury management and investments and be able to provide clear professional advice to Members and senior managers.
