Senior Group Accountant (Capital and Technical) (Ref: FTA)

Salary up to £48,023 p.a. (salary dependent on skills and experience)

As well as being our capital and technical accounting lead, with responsibility for preparing the capital and collection fund elements of the statement of accounts and maintaining the medium-term financial strategy, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the monitoring of expenditure and progress on some of the exciting developments that are happening in our Borough. This could be via, working with the Planning team on the allocation of section 106 contributions, making sure that returns from the use of our own capital resources are maximised or seeking and appraising alternative sources of finance.

This is a significant role in a small, friendly, and dedicated team that will allow you to use your skills to support the Council in delivering its objectives. A strong customer service focus, along with the ability to think fast and use your initiative is key.

Excellent communication skills are also required along with the ability to provide concise advice and influence decision making.
