Job Details

This is a key role at Maidstone Borough Council.

The postholder will be deputy Section 151 officer and has a key role in preparation of the Council’s annual budget and its financial statements.

This role also involves responsibility for administering the Kent Business Rates Pool, so has a high profile across the county.

The Organisation

The Council’s has a sustainable financial position, and our ambition and aspiration to deliver the Council’s vision and priorities are strong.

We have used our financial strength effectively to generate service improvements and to invest in making the borough a thriving place.

This role plays a central part in the Council’s proactive financial management, by working with Directors and Heads of Service to enable the efficient use of resources.
