Job Details
CIPFA-Penna are supporting a local authority in the recruitment of an Interim Senior Tax Accountant to lead on VAT returns, provision of tax advice to various teams (including project teams) across the authority and dealing with general / ad-hoc queries from around authority relating to VAT and tax application.
The role will manage a small team and will also include assisting on some technical accounting work across different projects for a period of approx. 3-6 months. The work will be fully remote or hme-based.
We are looking for a qualified accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with experience of tax and VAT accounting as well as supporting a year-end accounts closure process in a local authority environment.
