Job Details
CIPFA-Penna are working in partnership with a large local authority in search of an Interim Senior Financial Accountant to support the technical team on the upcoming accounts closure process. The role be at least 3 months and will be fully remote / home-based.
Working closely with the Chief Accountant and the wider financial accounting team, the successful candidate will contribute to completion of core statements and notes on the annual financial statement, as well as reviewing work form and giving technical guidance to trainee members of the team. You will also support the team through the subsequent audit process, preparing for anticipated queries in order to make the audit process as smooth as possible.
We’re looking for qualified finance professionals (CIPFA or equivalent) within local government finance, ideally with good experience of technical accounting and supporting the accounts closure process within a local authority environment.
