A ‘full service’ children’s company, Brighter Futures for Children (BFfC) delivers children’s social care, early help and prevention, education and SEND services in Reading. Right now, we’re keen to develop so we can make an impact on even more young lives.

As Executive Director of Finance & Resources, you’ll work closely with the Executive Chair, the Executive Director of Children’s Services, the Board and senior leaders on our strategy and vision to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families.

You’ll have overall strategic and operational accountability for our finance and resources portfolio and lead our significant corporate change programme to ensure that BFfC is delivering real impact.

You’ll lead key corporate functions including Finance, IT, Contracts, Commissioning and Procurement, Communications and HR. Through your leadership they will provide the support frontline colleagues need to give every child a happy, healthy and successful future.

An exceptional accountant, you are ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CIPFA-qualified. With impressive business management knowledge, you’ll already be a respected and accomplished leader. You know how to develop corporate resources, form strategies and deliver results. And you’ve got the communication and partnering skills to connect and influence change at all levels.
