This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic professional to join the central team of this successful multi-academy trust and to take lead responsibility for finance and operations at Ranelagh School and Bonitas Trust.

Applications are invited from well-qualified individuals, who have the skill and energy to undertake leadership of operational finances of Ranelagh School and the strategic finances of our trust.  Under the direction of the CEO and the board of trustees, the Head of Finance and Operations has responsibility for the effective and efficient running of all aspects of the finances for Ranelagh School and Bonitas Trust.

The trust consists of two Bracknell Forest Schools: Ranelagh School (Secondary) and Jennett’s Park School (Primary).

Ranelagh is an 11-18 coeducational, Anglican Academy (converter) which is oversubscribed and has an excellent reputation for academic achievement and positive school ethos.  The school has had four ‘outstanding’ OFSTED reports, with Grade 1 across all areas, but recognises the importance of not being complacent.

Jennett’s Park CE Primary School is an aided Church of England School within the Diocese of Oxford and local authority of Bracknell Forest.  With over 400 children, the school offers an exciting, value-driven curriculum within a supportive and challenging environment.  Jennett’s Park CE Primary School opened as a new Academy on 1^st June 2017 within The Bonitas Multi-Academy Trust and was rated as a good school by Ofsted in October 2021.

The expectation is that the successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant.  They will have experience of strategic financial planning and management, preferably, though not essentially, in the education sector.

Hours:              Full time / 52 weeks a year

Contract:         Permanent

Salary Range:   £52,748 – £57,715 (+ London weighting)
