Divisional Finance Manager – Repairs and Maintenance

A London Borough with over 50,000 properties is currently recruiting for a Divisional Finance Manager to support its Maintenance and Repairs Division. This role will be the strategic finance lead for the department.

The Divisional Finance Manager will lead the team providing management accounting and finance intelligence to the division to support business decisions and to ensure they are commercially astute and efficiently manage internal and external income generation and associated expenditure. Key responsibilities will include;

• Delivering, embedding, monitoring and championing strategic and operational budget plans to support success in delivering a commercially viable service
• Developing relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure finance is part of all decision making
• Providing high quality management information and professional financial advice to management team and senior officers

To be suitable for this role you need to be a fully qualified commercially aware accountant with the ability to build relationships with, and influence and challenge senior stakeholders. Previous experience of or an understanding of working with repairs, maintenance or constructions teams is highly desirable.
