The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) is the independent body that regulates and administers the business costs and decides the pay and pensions of the 650 elected Members of Parliament and their staff in the United Kingdom. We were created by the Parliamentary Standards Act 2009, as the world’s first independent regulator of MPs’ financial remuneration.
Allen Lane have partnered with IPSA in supporting their recruitment to the position of Finance officer who will work within Treasury and Accounts Receivable. This is a great opportunity to join the organisation in a strong period of growth, working within a dynamic, collaborative and supportive team.
As a Finance officer you will be working closely with the Treasury and Accounts Receivable controller managing the day to day delivery of financial transactions, accounting movements and amendments related to accounts receivable, government banking and credit control. You additionally will be dealing with finance queries and activities efficiently and effectively, supporting the MPs’ Business Costs Publication process.
The role is responsible for delivering financial value through efficient and effective financial administration and processing, supporting the rest of the organisation in matters relating to Finance.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working within a Finance and administrative role and have strong communication skills. They will have strong knowledge of Excel and have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. The appointed candidate is likely to be actively studying towards an accountancy based qualification or Qualified by experience.
