East Sussex Fire and Rescue
Finance Business Partner
£39,881 to £44,886 (April 2021 pay award pending)
37 hours per week
East Sussex Fire and Rescue is a blue light, front-line service serving and protecting the communities of East Sussex and Brighton & Hove.
We’re proud to be here for the community and our Finance Service plays a key role in delivering our vital work.
This is a unique and truly exciting time for the Finance Service as we transform the service, with the launch of our newly designed Finance Business Partnering Structure.
As a Finance Business Partner, you will be key to shaping our Finance transformation as we achieve a cultural shift through the provision of strategic financial advice and implementing new systems and processes, including Oracle Fusion ERP, which in turn will enable the devolution of financial management to service colleagues.
We want people to join us who can deliver a proactive, customer focussed and trusted finance business partnering service. You will ensure we deliver value for money by identifying new ways of working, which secure efficiencies and influence the financial decisions that contribute to the Fire Service's long-term purpose to make our communities safer.
In return, we offer:
- a supportive working environment aligned to our values of “proud, accountable, integrity and respect”;
- a competitive salary;
- a local government pension scheme with employer contributions to save for the future;
- training and development opportunities to help you perform at your best;
- a generous leave entitlement and hybrid working to ensure you have a flexible work life balance.
For those considering relocation, East Sussex is a fabulous place to live and work, full of natural beauty, from the rolling hills of the South Downs to the amazing coastline, the vibrant City of Brighton & Hove to the beautiful villages of the High Weald.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination. We therefore welcome applications from all sections of the community.
The closing date for applications is 6 February 2022.
Interview dates are planned for week commencing 21 February 2022.
