Salary: £44,863 - £48,381 per annum (salary review pending)

Norwich City Council is seeking a Finance and Business Systems Manager to develop, promote, manage and ensure the continued integrity of the corporate services systems (including Finance and HR).

The role involves being responsible for the day-to-day control and operation of the systems and owning the relationship with IT and system support consultants. The post holder will lead on the development of systems to meet the needs of the business and ensure robust and accessible reporting which maximises the use of technology.

The role involves taking the lead on projects and developments involving business systems and assessing the implications for financial information and interfaces. The post holder will need to work in partnership with IT to ensure that updates to the systems are successfully tested and rolled out in accordance with internal processes.

The successful applicant must be CCAB or AAT qualified and/or have extensive experience of financial systems and accounting. Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary professional environment is essential and experience of local government financial practices would be desirable.

The successful applicant should have extensive experience of maintaining and developing financial management systems with sound experience of financial practices with the ability to analyse complex financial and business issues and offer robust and reliable professional advice.
