Job Details
We are working in partnership with a local authority organisation in the Midlands region who are looking for the support of an Interim Chief Accountant. The primary focus of the role will be to lead the council through year-end closure of accounts (2020/21) and the subsequent liaison with the Auditors.
The successful candidate will ideally be a fully qualified accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with demonstrable experience and achievements of supporting another local authority through a year-end accounts closure process – including production of the statement of accounts, liaison with auditors and supporting the Head of Finance with production of a detailed narrative behind the accounts.
