Location: Hybrid with home working and office in Kingston/Sutton

Sutton & Kingston Shared Finance Service, established in April 2017, provides financial services to the London Borough of Sutton and the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.

We deliver professional accountancy and financial management, commercial advice and expert analysis, innovative finance operations and financial inclusion services for vulnerable residents.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Finance Lead - Treasury to join our Commercial Finance and Investment team, where you’ll be required to deliver and develop the Treasury Management function across Sutton and Kingston Councils.

The post-holder will ensure the Councils comply with all statutory requirements and deadlines, balancing planned and reactive requirements and delivering subject matter expertise on all treasury management requirements.

The role will also support the Commercial Finance and Investment function by contributing to the wider capital & commercial remit of the team.

What’s Needed

To succeed in the role, you will need knowledge and experience of delivering an effective treasury management function for a local authority or similar body.

You’ll be expected to have experience in managing cash flows, investments and debt portfolios for large organisations as well as experience of developing and delivering proposals for continuous and cost-effective improvement to service delivery. You’ll also need the ability to coordinate, supervise or direct the work of others.

Finally, you will be expected to have proven experience of using digital technology effectively to deliver customer focused activities including Google applications, Word, Excel (advanced level), Powerpoint and software packages to record and manipulate data.
