A leading local authority in the Midlands area is looking for immediate support of an interim Recovery Investment Fund Manager to help manage a new investment strategy aimed at providing economic recovery in the region. This opportunity is available on an interim basis for a period of approximately 6 months.

Reporting directly into the council’s s151 officer and supporting the wider SMT (including the Chief Executive), the successful candidate will advise on setting up a recovery strategy and plan, recommending on setting up an appropriate fund and investigating how this will be structured and financed. 

You’ll need to be comfortable with the technicalities of accounting and reporting for investment portfolios, including the impact and implications of investment strategies / decisions to the balance sheet. You’ll also need to demonstrate an acute commercial awareness to ensure risk is managed appropriately and have a good understanding of economic development and commercial lending.
