More about the role:
A varied and stimulating role, you will lead and manage a small team supporting delivery of the Council’s Internal Audit Service to provide assurance to the Council and add value through the planning, management and delivery of a range of audits, fraud investigations and consultancy reviews.
As a fully qualified (CCAB or IIA) and experienced Auditor you will uphold the highest professional standards, inspire your team and ensure all work delivers to the assurance needs of the Council. You’ll need an eye for detail, with the ability to see the big picture and apply pragmatic solutions. To ensure Internal Audit remains respected and valued within the organisation, you will foster positive working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate the audit process and enable you to provide effective ad-hoc support and advice as required. You will help to ensure that adequate controls are built into systems under development and to help further embed sound risk management practice.
