Exciting opportunities are available at West Northamptonshire Council for two CCAB qualified professionals to join us as Senior Finance Business Partners in the Accountancy Division.

A fully qualified accountant with previous experience of financial accounting, you will have excellent knowledge of relevant current legislation and professional codes of practice. You will be a confident problem solver with strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills, and you will be able to organise others to deliver good quality, information to fixed deadlines.

Reporting to the Strategic Finance Business Partner, you will manage one of our Technical Services teams and will play a key role in building and developing our service and embedding good practice across the organisation delivering our technical accounting services. You'll ensure proper procedure and best practice for financial accounting, capital accounting and financial instruments accounting, etc, and will work closely with colleagues across the organisation. On a day-to-day basis, you'll make complex decisions related to all aspects of technical accounting and year-end planning and provision.
