The Council has an ambitious programme of change, including developing the Castle Quay project within the Banbury Town Centre, the Crown House Banbury refurbishment and Graven Hill in Bicester. The Finance Team provides support across the wide range of Council and associated company activities, which provides an exciting backdrop for the new team members. In addition, the Finance Team is seeking to evolve so that it can provide support in the complex world of a modern local authority. The work programme includes a new finance system, improving the management accounting and reporting processes and helping to establish the team ready for the future.
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dynamic individual to join the Finance Team who will come and support our programme of change and make a difference to the Council for the future.
The Finance Team provide a service to the Council which encompasses financial accounting, management accounting, creditors, reconciliations, insurance, commercial and treasury management services.
The post will be based primarily in Bodicote House in Bodicote, Banbury although you may be expected to travel to other locations as required. Remote working is likely to be encouraged for some time.
