Deputy Finance Manager – Newham

Band 7 - £45,780 - £51,393 (inclusive of inner London Allowance)

Location: Canary Wharf (with some travel to hospital sites)

Barts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country, and one of Britain’s leading healthcare providers.

The Barts Health group of NHS hospitals is entering an exciting new era on our improvement journey to becoming an outstanding organisation with a world-class clinical reputation. Having lifted ourselves out of special measures, we now have the impetus and breathing space to chart a fresh course in which we are continually striving to improve all our services for patients.

Our vision is to be a high-performing group of NHS hospitals, renowned for excellence and innovation, and providing safe and compassionate care to our patients in east London and beyond. That means being a provider of excellent patient safety, known for delivering consistently high standards of harm-free care and always caring for patients in the right place at the right time. It also means being an outstanding place to work, in which our WeCare values and behaviours are visible to all and guide us in how we work together.

Allen Lane have partnered with Barts Health NHS Trust to support their appointment of Deputy Finance Manager. This role will work closely alongside the Senior Finance Manager assisting in the provision of a complete financial service to Newham Hospital; additionally working closely with non-finance teams on financial advice.

This is a great opportunity for a bright, motivated candidate to join the Barts Trust in a great period of growth and positive change. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders both inside and outside of finance, providing financial advice and managing the production of the service area budget reports. This is a great time to join the trust and be on a platform where your career will be supported and grow.

The successful candidates will be confident, and work well as part of a diverse inclusive team. You will also need to be a finance professional with at least 3 years of experience; have the ability to supervise a team of staff to deliver monthly financial statements; and have a good understanding and professional ability to use Excel and other accounting software.

We are delivering an inclusive and transparent process where we are actively seeking a diverse field of candidates to reflect the population that Barts Health NHS Trust serves.

For further information please contact our recruitment partner Tiffany Richards at Allen Lane. Please send your CV, supporting statement highlighting what role you are applying for by midnight on Sunday 25th July.
