Location: Canary Wharf

Barts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country, and one of Britain’s leading healthcare providers.

The Barts Health group of NHS hospitals is entering an exciting new era on our improvement journey to becoming an outstanding organisation with a world-class clinical reputation. Having lifted ourselves out of special measures, we now have the impetus and breathing space to chart a fresh course in which we are continually striving to improve all our services for patients.

Our vision is to be a high-performing group of NHS hospitals, renowned for excellence and innovation, and providing safe and compassionate care to our patients in east London and beyond. That means being a provider of excellent patient safety, known for delivering consistently high standards of harm-free care and always caring for patients in the right place at the right time. It also means being an outstanding place to work, in which our WeCare values and behaviours are visible to all and guide us in how we work together.

Allen Lane have partnered with Barts Health NHS Trust in support of their appointment of two Finance Managers, which will cover Patient Level Information and Costing (PLICS) and Service Line Reporting (SLR) within the Costing and information team.

This is a great opportunity to join the Trust in a period of growth and positive change where candidates can make real progress in their careers. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders driving the development of the service line reporting framework, along with the development of a costing and pricing framework. . This is an updated role which looks to combine and provide cross cover between both more traditional costing and SLR/PLICs roles. .

The successful candidates will need to be professionally qualified accountants (or part qualified) and have at least 3 years’ experience within a finance department.  You will have strong Excel skills and have a natural ability with data and manipulating it to aid decision making.  It is desirable to have previous experience working within the NHS although having skills of with working within different sectors on costing projects would be welcome.  Having experience of  SQL and costing systems would be advantageous in this process also.

We are delivering an inclusive and transparent process where we are actively seeking a diverse field of candidates to reflect the population that Barts Health NHS Trust serves.

For further information please contact our recruitment partner Tiffany Richards at Allen Lane. Please send your CV, supporting statement highlighting what role you are applying for by midnight on Sunday 25th July.
